The reason I wrote about Mrs. Pontellier and her problems is because the first few chapters focus on this topic. Mrs. Pontellier constantly talks about not liking her life and wanting to be happy. She admits not being a good wife and mother, and being pushed away from her family by always being around Robert. Her husband is constantly gone on business trips, while she is in Grand Isle. She is in a constant struggle of trying to figure things out so I thought an Abby column would be appropriate. Also, I’m curious to why she is always upset, so i would like to see what others think.
